golddogIt is my understanding that Lovell was number one in his class - I could not get a good look but that must be him and Marilyn receiving the top student trophy?
ColinBurgessYes, according to Wally Schirra, Lovell came first in their class and he and Pete Conrad tied for second.
Rusty53Boy, that does not look like Jim or Marilyn Lovell to me.
BA002To be honest my initial thought was also that as the top of the class it probably should be James Lovell receiving that special trophy but I agree with Rusty that that couple doesn't look like him and Marilyn. I'll ask him two weeks from now at the Space Lectures event.
Cozmosis22Thanks for posting that nice Navy filmstrip. Ah, the good old days of slide rule calculus and smoking in the classroom.
